Top 5 Horror Games on Android in Finland: Q1 2022 Performance

The first quarter of 2022 revealed interesting trends for horror game apps on the Android platform in Finland. Here’s a look at the performance of the top 5 horror games, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Granny from DVloper saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 904 in the week of January 24. However, the numbers gradually declined to 471 by the end of March. The weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 2.9K and reaching a high of 4.1K in late January, before falling to around 3K by the end of the quarter.

Five Nights at Freddy's AR by Illumix Inc. experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting strong at 1.2K in mid-January but dwindling to 169 by the end of March. Correspondingly, weekly active users decreased from a peak of 3.5K in mid-January to just over 900 by the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue also saw a decline, starting at $92 and ending at $15.

Scary Teacher 3D from Z & K Games maintained relatively stable download numbers, fluctuating between 326 and 451 weekly downloads. The active user base was steady, averaging around 5.3K throughout the quarter. Revenue figures remained low but saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at $9.

Scary Escape Time by FALCON GLOBAL LTD had a strong start with 1.5K downloads in its first week post-release but saw a sharp decline to zero downloads by mid-February. The active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.4K and dropping to 307 by the end of March.

Granny 3, another title from DVloper, showed a gradual decline in weekly downloads from 302 to 289. The active user count also decreased slightly from 1.1K to around 1K over the quarter.
